Congratulations to Chivas 2006 girls as they return to Morgan Hill and will the Gold Division tournament.

South Valley Chivas in collaboration with ZeroGravity a Spain based high level goalkeeper academy hosted a goalkeeper clinic for Chivas team goalkeepers in Visalia, CA.

Zerogravity goalkeeper coach, Roberto Gutierrez of Oxnard, CA. conducted the two 2 hour sessions on Saturday, February 10, 2018 for twelve chivas goalkeepers ranging from the ages of 7-18 years. Coach Gutierrez has a history of 48 years in the City of Oxnard working with numerous clubs and soccer organizations in central California. Currently he is a Pre-Academy director of Total Futbol Academy in Ventura County.

ZeroGravity was created by Roberto Navajas who servers as director of ZeroGravity and currently is 1st team goalkeeper coach for Granada FC of the Spain’s La Liga. Navajas created the ZeroGravity’s methodology which is adapts to each goalkeeper and coach, integrating their goalkeeper knowledge with coaching tools to be able to design a tailored program in order to achieve their
highest performance.

South Valley Chivas and ZeroGravity are already in talks in order to form a partnership to have the Zerogravity goalkeeper coaches become a goalkeeper resource for all South Valley Chivas goalkeepers.

The Chivas 05G coached by Hermin Morin an assisted by Jackie Gonzales were crowded State Cup Champions in the Gold Division of the 2017/18 edition of the NorCal Premier State Cup.

The Chivas 05G defeated South Tahoe FC Revolution 2-1 on Dec. 9 in the State Cup Championship game.

For the second year in a row the South Valley Chivas 06G based out of Visalia and coached by Matt Bahr and assisted by Chris Gilbert have won the NorCal Premier State Cup 06G Gold Division.

The team was crowned champions on Dec. 10 after beat North Marin United 06G Green 1-0 in the state cup championship game.

Team roster: Taylie Avila, Roxy Bahr, Hannah Bustos, Clarissa Diaz, Ellison Gilbert, Jayme Gomez, Kathrine Gonzales, Maddie Mahon, Rhia Mahon, Jaclynn Martins, Fernanda Moore, Morgan Phillipe, Amanda Prieto, Victoria Souza, Diamond Tapia and Jessica Vilegas.

After handling games on Saturday vs Valley United (8-0) and CenCal Grey (4-1), Chivas 2006 Girls lost to Crossfire 2-3 in pool play to meet several hours later in the Finals. Chivas went up 1-0 at half and survived a quality attack by Crossfire, before passing two OTs to meet in Penalty Kicks from the mark and winning the Championship.

Congratulations to the girls for all the hard work against a quality opponent.

South Valley Chivas 2006 Girls won their second tournament in a row after winning their pool and advancing to the final at the Magic Cup Tournament in Morgan Hill on August 18-19.

In pool play they kept their opponents scoreless and had results against Monterey Bay Sharks 3-0, Diablo FC 2-0 and De Anza Force PDA II 2-0.

In the final against the San Francisco Vikings the Chivas’ solid defense did not allow another goal from the field, the 3-1 victory was the result of a penalty kick.

Congratulations to the Girl Chivas on another good showing.

South Valley Chivas 00B team coached by Victor Del Rio and Rodolfo Reynoso were crowned champs of the California Gold Cup held in Stockton over the June 3-4 weekend.

Tournament result were as followed:  4-1 vs Riverbank FC B2, 2-0 vs Pacific FC Dragons, 5-2 vs Riverbank FC B1 and in the championship game a 3-2 victory vs Alternativo Futbol Rebels.

First and foremost we would like to take the time to thank every single player who showed up and participated in our Visalia tryouts.
