Players Elmer Carballo and Jesus Godinez González of our South Valley Chivas 04B have recently been called in for a two-week trial with LA Galaxy.
Carballo a native of Clovis, Ca. has been an active member of the NorCal Premier state PDP team and has participated in several U.S. national team camps. He has previously been invited to train with several MLS academy teams and has received multiple invitations to tryouts for Mexican professional club academy teams.
Godinez González a native of Visalia, Ca. was also an active member of the NorCal Premier state PDP team. He has also previously had received invitations to train with several other MLS academy teams.
South Valley Chivas wants to wish both players the best of luck in their tryout with LA Galaxy and hope that the knowledge and experience acquired while training and playing for our soccer club will allow them to advance in their professional soccer career.
Players Efren Herrera, William Ruiz, and Edwin Nava of our South Valley Chivas 07B and Aldo Ramirez, Javier (Junior) Espinoza Martinez of our South Valley Chivas 08B, and Hector Ruiz, and Ramon Murrillo of our South Valley Chivas 09B Classico have recently been invited to participate in training sessions with San Jose Earthquake Academy.
All seven players have been on ongoing trainings with San Jose Earthquakes Academy competing with top athletes from the northern region. Needless to say these young athletes are beginning to create a name for themselves as they have previously attended and have trained with Sacramento Republic Academy teams as well. South Valley Chivas wants to wish all players the best in their upcoming soccer endeavors and hope that the knowledge and experience acquired while training and playing for our soccer club will allow them to advance in their soccer career.

We are excited that finally we are able to get back to playing soccer. We have been working hard with NorCal Premier, the county and our local parks and rec to ensure that we have protocols in place to keep everyone safe during our training and matches. Below you will find the protocols that all of our parents and players will need to follow as we get back to playing games.. All players will need to sign an informed consent form (link below to download) before they will be allowed back on the field. Coaches will be communicating additional information on this topic. All forms should be returned to your coach as soon as possible.
NorCal Premier Return to Competition Policies/FAQs
NorCal Premier has published Return to Play Competition Policies and FAQs that we expect all of our parents, players, coaches, and employees to follow when participating or observing South Valley Chivas events. In addition to these policies, we may additionally request that our membership follow additional protocols put in place by our opponents while playing in away games. You coach will communicate additional protocols prior to the game. This could include how to enter or exit fields, mask requirements, etc. Please familiarize yourself with NorCal policies and respect that we must follow these in order to get our kids back on the field.
COVID-19 Roles and Responsibilities
As we get back to playing soccer, it is important to recognize and understand that everyone plays a role in the creating a safe, controlled environment that allows everyone to participate. The roles and their responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Coach
Prior to arrival to trainings and competitions, it is recommended that you complete the CDC Screening Tool located at here.
Follow all Return to Play protocols
Inquire how athletes are feeling. If they are not feeling well, send them home.
Ensure all athletes have their individual equipment (ball, water, shin guards, etc.)
Coach is the only person to place/pick-up/touch cones, discs, or training equipment
Ensure that training equipment is disinfected after each use.
Respect players, parents, and families by accommodating those that may not yet be comfortable with returning.
Parents

If you are not comfortable with returning to play, DON’T. You are the only one who will make the decision when your child returns to play.
Check child’s temperature before coming to any activity. Ensure child’s clothing is washed after every training session.
Ensure all equipment (cleats, ball, shin guards, etc.) are sanitized before and after every training.
Notify Club/coach immediately if your child becomes ill for any reason.
Supply your child with individual sanitizer.
Adhere to social distancing requirement.
Ensure you child has plenty of water in his/her own water bottle
Player
If you are not comfortable with returning to play, DON’T.

Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, Region 7 NorCal Member Clubs have agreed that there will be no 2020/21 season tryouts for all ages. Region 7 Clubs are encouraged to re-register their current membership from June 6 to June 29. There will be a “transfer window” from June 30 to July 20for any NorCal player who is not currently registered for the 2020/21 season and wishes to move from one NorCal Member Club to another NorCal Member Club.. Players who signed a US Club Registration for the 2020-21 season will be required to get DOC permission before another NorCal Member Club is able make any contact or communication with them (as outlined in the “Outside the NorCal transfer window“ Recruiting definition).
NorCal Code of Ethics “Recruiting” Definition (Updated May 2020)
Outside the NorCal Transfer Window: “Recruiting” refers to making any contact or communication with a player who is registered with another NorCal club, in which the player is asked or allowed to join a club, attend a tryout or club training session, or play or guest play for another club, without first receiving permission from the Director of Coaching of the player’s club.
Inside the NorCal Transfer Window: “Recruiting” refers to making an initial or first contact or communication with a player who is registered with another NorCal club, in which the player is asked or allowed to join a club, attend a tryout or club training session, or guest play for another club, without first receiving permission from the Director of Coaching of the player’s club.
Note: Players do not need DOC permission to contact other clubs during the Transfer Window, and Adult members are permitted to respond to such contacts during the Transfer Window, without requesting permission from the player’s DOC

The SVCA 2011G team participated in the 2019 edition of the MVLA Bay Area Winter Cup and came home as finalist of the tournament which took place in Santa Clara, CA.
After winning their bracket beating El Camino FC (Salinas, Ca.) 2-0, Delta United SC (Antioch,Ca.) 5-0 and MVLA 11G Madrid Gold (Santa Clara,Ca.) 2-0, they would eventually lose a hard fought final 3-1 against Santa Cruz YSC.

South Valley Chivas Competitive Teams from Visalia will be hosting open tryouts for the 2019/2020 Season.
All players born between 2001 and 2012 players are welcome.
Teams will participate in the NorCal Premier Soccer League and will compete in youth soccer tournaments throughout the year. Elite players will have the opportunity to be recommended to elite programs like Player Development Program (PDP) and Olympic Development Program (ODP).

All players must bring a copy of birth certificate, a soccer ball and must wear a white jersey/shirt and shin guards.
A parent must be present to sign any necessary paperwork.
The South Valley Chivas 08G wrapped up a successful spring season by winning the Central Azteca Summer Cup Champions this past weekend in Bakersfield. The team which is coached by the duo of husband and wife Josh and Sandra Valencia won the NorCal Premier Bronze – Region 7 division and were runner-ups at the CVP Cup playing up in age.
Players on team include Josilynn Alcantar, Alexsandra Almanza, Dalia Calderon, Lamonica Gabriel, Abigail Guerrero, Isabel Hernandez, Sarai Lua De La Cruz, Kaitlyn Marquez, Natalie Martinez, Zulema Martinez, Jalissa Miranda, Alliya Ortiz, Fatima Ponce, Selena Rico, Jada Valencia.
The South Valley Chivas Navy 04B team coached by Nick Pritchett were crowned champions at the Cali Crown Classic hosted by LA Galaxy – Bakersfield. In group play they faced off against the SouthWestern Warriors and the Antelope Valley Dirt Devils. In the semifinal match they played against MSA FC before beating the LA Galaxy – Bakersfield O4B team in the championship.
